CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT
Defense software that ships with its compliance paperwork.
Fixed-scope, fixed-price application development for defense contractors. NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP control alignment written into the build from the first commit, not retrofitted after.
THE PROBLEM
The false choice
You have a product idea, a budget, and a timeline. You get quoted eighteen months and a number you cannot afford by a U.S. development shop. The only alternative anyone offers is an offshore team — which eventually creates a foreign ownership problem you will have to explain to a contracting officer.
That is a false choice. A U.S.-based team can deliver production code at a fixed price, with compliance built in from the first commit, without the FOCI exposure or the 18-month timeline.
WHAT YOU GET
Every delivery. No exceptions.
Production code
Built, tested, and documented. Not a prototype.
Full source code ownership
The code is yours at delivery. No license, no lock-in, no dependency on us to keep operating.
Compliance control mapping
A written artifact documenting which NIST 800-53 controls the code implements and how. Most shops charge separately for this. We include it.
Procedural QA map
A step-by-step verification plan from the user's perspective so your team can independently confirm what they bought works the way it should.
No-charge requirements call
Every project starts with a detailed requirements conversation before a number is quoted. We scope together, then we price it.
Automated test coverage
Documented QA plan delivered with the code. Automated tests covering the functionality you specified, not theater coverage.
Fixed price, fixed scope
No time-and-materials surprises. The scope is documented, the price is fixed, the deliverables are enumerated.
Warranty
Defects we introduced, we fix. Warranty terms detailed below.
PROCESS
How an engagement works
Requirements call.
We start with a no-charge call to understand your environment, your constraints, and what you need built. No commitment, no scoping fee.
Scope and price.
After the requirements call, we deliver a fixed-scope, fixed-price proposal. The price does not change after signing.
Build.
Development begins against NIST 800-53 controls from the first commit. You receive progress updates at defined milestones.
Deliver.
Production code, compliance control mapping, QA plan, and full source code ownership transfer to you.
Warranty.
Defects we introduced during the build, we fix — at no additional cost within the warranty window.
COMPLIANCE
Compliance from the first commit
NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP control alignment is written into the build from the start — not bolted on by a consultant after the code is finished. That is where most of the cost and nearly all of the schedule risk hides in a typical defense software project.
At delivery, you receive the compliance control mapping as a written artifact: which controls the code implements, how they are implemented, and where to find the evidence in the codebase. This is not a checkbox spreadsheet. It is a document your security team can use to support the accreditation process.
The guarantee
You own the code. Every custom development engagement transfers full source code ownership to the client at delivery — no license, no lock-in, no dependency on us to keep operating. We warrant delivered code against the documented control set for [30/60/90] days after delivery. Defects we introduced, we fix. We do not warrant an authorization outcome, because ATO depends on your authorizing official, your environment, and your continuous monitoring program — any vendor who promises you an ATO is selling you something they don't control.

PRICING
Projects typically start at $30,000.
Scope determines the price, not a rate card. Every project is scoped on a no-charge requirements call before a number is quoted. Fixed price, fixed scope, fixed deliverables.
No-charge requirements call. Fixed price quoted after scoping.
No-charge requirements call. No obligation.
Tell us what you're building. We'll tell you if we can help, what it will cost, and how long it will take. If we can't help, we'll tell you that too.
Compliance control mapping included as a written artifact.
